So now that the electric engines have been removed, what's the best option for converting IC2 power to BC power? Are all my solar arrays going to just stare wistfully at the nearby quarries that they used to be best buddies with?

There are mor conversion methods, unqnow to thos who failed to test it properly but they are still part of game.
Blutricity solar panel have ~5 time smaler output then Solar panel, thats rather smal 1/5 EU/t.
I actualy not tested that to get proper data but i can, but thats is some orentation if some one is intrested.
Factorisation old SolarTurbine whit max number of mirroes give you 54 G../t and thats 46 EU/t. (from topp of my head but it may difer +-1), I may include proper numbers comparation wen i get to that agen.
All other can be learned on power convrters page and is rather simple to use.
Agen main way to convert energy is by use of power convertors whit exception to Bltricity wich can only be used to convert to MJ. But if you directly power BC consumer whit Blutricity engine then you just procide to EU or Charge.
Blutricity engine is in core just a BC engine whit some notable difrances.
It cant explod and worck on pure energy.
His energy output depend of his power sorce and needs of powered item but i think one engine have a limit of ~25 MJ/t mainly becouse ther is no way to clame greter power in curent Blutricitu setup. Maybu if he can one day be hoked up to transformator.

There are no electrical engines in tekkit lite
There were electric engines many months ago, when the first release of tekkit lite came out. However, since the latest update came out (I think April 2013), tekkit now has energy bridges and consumers/producers.
